Your exam grade is NOT part of the 2nd 9 weeks grade. It will be one-fifth of your semester average, which means it will have the weight of half of a nine weeks grade. Your semester average will be calculated as follows: 2(1st 9 weeks grade) + 2(2nd 9 weeks grade) + exam grade all divided by 5 = 1st semester average. If that average is 60 or above, you will have earned half a credit for Algebra I. If that average is below 60, you will not receive half a credit for Algebra I, which means you will have to attend summer school to make-up that credit.
Since this exam grade will have such a big impact on your semester average, it is IMPERATIVE that you complete all assigned exam review homework to be thoroughly prepared for this exam. Each exam review assignment will be graded and be part of your 9 weeks average.
